How in the world does a driver update ERASE YOUR DATA?! I am worried that I am not going to be able to recover some EXTREMELY important files that this 'update' deleted from my Live Mesh folders (stupid me for thinking something 'in the cloud' was safe --I thought because it was synced to three computers I was OK, but since those computers were all on when this happened, Mesh 'synced' them by deleting all the files that were erased from my laptop). I put in a larger SSD today going from a 120GB to a 240GB and blew away my Windows partition to make the process easier to expand OS X, etc. After installing Windows again, the only thing in Device Manager that wouldn't load was the Bluetooth USB Host Controller. Tried every package in Bootcamp for version 4.0.4033 and 5.0.5033 and no luck. Finally I came across this site:. • Basically, right-click the device in Device Manager, go to Properties, select Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from Property drop down.
It doesn't work with message 'can not start Windows 8 Bluetooth Stack' or similar. After many search I found out driver from UChar0 message. It did not install straight from the installer, but I managed to go deep into the folder where drivers decompressed. As I have w8 32 bits, it was 'C: swsetup SP56715 Win32'. I then executed inst.exe and the installation finished without problem, and now I have my Trust Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter installed and working. Thank you very much!!
